Fabian Karembe Ahimbisibwe is an Assistant Lecturer in the Department of Adult and Community Education, Makerere University. A trained professional adult and community educator, he holds a Master Degree and Bachelor’s degree in Adult and Community Education from Makerere University, and a Diploma in Secondary Education.
He has vast experience in teaching and training in areas of philosophy, political economy, gender studies and adult literacy. His competencies are in the fields of monitoring and evaluation of community-based programmes and projects, the critique of classic and contemporary socio-economic and political events, facilitation and training of adult learners and communities using participatory strategies.
His research interests are in the fields of community education and learning, empowerment of vulnerable people, indigenous knowledge practices and transformation of rural livelihoods.
