Mary Ryan is an International Development Coordinator at the University of Glasgow. She facilitates activity of the University’s staff and students who are working with developing country partners through networking event, funding information and information sharing across disciplines. She also manages the Zoonoses and Emerging Livestock Systems Associated Studentship programme, a cohort of 16 students from Europe and developing countries all working on zoonotic disease research questions.
Mary has a Bachelor of Science degree in biology and sociology and a Master of Science degree in cognitive and behavioural ecology. She worked for Canada’s Department of Fisheries and Oceans and at the University of Glasgow as a research assistant, campus operations facilitator and research manager before moving into her current role. When she’s not working, Mary can be found tramping about the Scottish hills.
